Volksoper Vienna
As a part of the renovation of the Volksoper Vienna, we were commissioned in cooperation with the company “Tonarchitektur” to positively influence the acoustic behaviour of the room with diffuser panels by Artnovion.
The results are two curved lines of custom-made diffuser elements following the course of the ceiling, which ensure that the sound emanating from the stage is not reflected back into the audience area of the upper tiers in a focused manner via the concave curvature of the ceiling as before, but instead is diffusely broken and distributed much more evenly. On an acoustic level, these measures led to a predicted result – to the utmost satisfaction of all those involved in this project. On the optical side, the extremely pleasing design of the Logan diffusers by Artnovion is a successful design aspect.
